Material Topics

MFB adopted a structured Four‑Phase Approach to identify the sustainability topics most relevant to both the Company and its stakeholders.

The 11 key material topics were finalised through internal discussions and strategic alignment workshops, supported by a weighted approach that evaluated both impact and financial materiality to ensure strong alignment with MFB’s long‑term priorities.

Impact Materiality

Considering severity, scale, persistence, and likelihood of impact

Financial Materiality

Assessing the potential effect on revenue streams, cost drivers, capital expenditure, regulatory exposure, and financing terms

Our Four-Phase Approach

We carry out a structured materiality assessment to identify and prioritise the sustainability topics most relevant to MFB and our stakeholders.

This process ensures that our sustainability efforts are focused on areas that have the greatest impact on our business performance and contribute meaningfully to sustainable development.

Guided by leading global frameworks including the GRI Standards, SASB, and the Bursa Malaysia Sustainability Reporting Guide, our assessment considers two dimensions of materiality:

Impact Materiality

Considering severity, scale, persistence, and likelihood of impact

Financial Materiality

How sustainability-related factors affect our business performance, resilience, and long‑term value creation
