Daily Steps Champion: 2-Week Challenge

4 May 2026 — Building on the momentum of our World Health Day 2026 initiatives, we are proud to mark the successful completion of our two-week daily steps challenge under the Step for Wellness programme. What began as a simple call to stay active has grown into a meaningful display of commitment, teamwork, and shared motivation across the organisation.

As the challenge concludes, we celebrate not only the achievements of our top performers, but also the collective effort of all participants who embraced the journey towards healthier, more active lifestyles.

A total of 39 participants took part in the challenge, committing to track their daily steps using the Stepio mobile application. The goal was simple but demanding: achieve a minimum of 7,000 steps per day, totalling at least 98,000 steps over the two-week period.

The response was strong. Out of all participants, 14 successfully exceeded the 98,000-step target, demonstrating both discipline and commitment to personal wellbeing.

To recognise their efforts, prizes were awarded to the top three performers:

  • 1st place: RM500
  • 2nd place: RM300
  • 3rd place: RM200

Beyond the competition, the challenge reflects Mega Fortris’ ongoing focus on employee wellbeing. By encouraging regular physical activity in a structured yet accessible way, the initiative supports healthier routines that can be sustained beyond the programme.

The success of the Daily Steps Champion Challenge highlights a simple idea: small, consistent actions can lead to meaningful improvements in overall health.

Winners:

1. Elavarasan Vellian: 414,245 steps

2. Satish Kumar A/L Nageserauf: 366,452 steps

3. Saravanan Kumaar A/L Subramaniam: 229,651 steps

Let’s take this opportunity to prioritise our wellbeing and support one another in building healthier, more sustainable lifestyles.
