7 May 2026 — Mega Fortris Berhad successfully organised its Community Outreach Blood Donation Drive at Level 2, MSU Medical Centre, in collaboration with MSU Medical Centre and Pusat Darah Negara (PDN).
Held from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM, the event brought together employees, students, and members of the public in support of a meaningful cause while promoting greater awareness of health and wellbeing.
The blood donation drive exceeded expectations, collecting a total of 70 bags of blood, surpassing the initial target of 50 bags set by PDN. More than 100 participants attended the event, resulting in 82 eligible donors. Due to the overwhelming response and all available blood bags being fully utilised for the day, 12 eligible donors were unfortunately unable to proceed with their donations.
Beyond the donation drive itself, the event also featured a variety of health-focused activities and screenings, including blood glucose and cholesterol screening, body composition analysis, ear and eye screening, physiotherapy sessions, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnostic services, and a health talk for company HR representatives.
Mega Fortris Berhad also hosted a Spin The Wheels game booth specially for blood donors, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere throughout the event. The booth became one of the most visited attractions of the day, with participants enjoying prizes such as AEON vouchers, Mega Fortris notebooks, eco bags, and other giveaways.
The event was further supported by generous sponsorship contributions from Julie’s Veggie Crackers and Wise Cottage Fries Potato Chips.
While not every visitor was eligible to donate blood, the event ensured that everyone had the opportunity to participate through the various wellness activities and health screenings available. The positive response and enthusiastic participation helped create an encouraging environment that reinforced an important message — donating blood can be both meaningful and enjoyable.
