5 March 2026 — As the month of Shawwal is fast approaching, Muslim communities in Malaysia are preparing to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri. This celebration is a reawakening of the heart and spirit, after a month of reflection and purification. For marginalised communities and underprivileged families, this significant day is often celebrated with limited resources.

To ease their burden, Mega Fortris Community Outreach Initiative organised a Food Provisions Distribution Programme providing essential perishable and dry food supplies. This was done in partnership with Kechara Soup Kitchen (KSK), whom we have been with since October 2025.

With similar experience from previous programmes, this initiative was successfully carried out  by 19 committed volunteers from Mega Fortris. The food supplies were collected from KSK’s centre in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur and were delivered to the distribution point in Program Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) of Kampung Baru Air Panas. The provisions, which were handled with careful measures, were then distributed to 15 underprivileged families.

Our Hari Raya Food Provisions Distribution Programme was the fourth session of this initiative. Altogether, we have successfully distributed food provisions to a total of 60 families. As we reflect on the moments shared and conversations exchanged, we hope our support has brought comfort, encouragement and hope to the communities we served.

As part of our ongoing mission to give back to society through meaningful community engagement, Mega Fortris is committed to developing broader Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategies. With the support of our partners and volunteers, we will continue to uphold our dedication in fostering positive societal impact. Through this small act of kindness, we hope our future initiatives continue to provide relief and encouragement to those in need.
