30 March 2026 — Mega Fortris Berhad extends its support to the Super Sarapan Programme in collaboration with Yayasan Generasi Gemilang at SK La Salle Klang as part of its ongoing commitment to uplift communities through meaningful and sustainable initiatives.

The programme addresses the growing concern of food insecurity among school children. A report by OECD (2023) found that an average of 8% of students in OECD areas have reported going without meals at least once a week due to financial constraints. A 2023 Food Insecurity Experience Survey (FIES) conducted by Yayasan Generasi Gemilang among its beneficiary communities further revealed that 50% experience moderate to severe food insecurity.

Through this initiative, 35 students from low-income families at SK La Salle Klang will receive one nutritious meal at school daily. The meals will be prepared by the school canteen operators throughout the school term from April to November 2026. We hope that this consistent support helps reduce food insecurity while encouraging regular school attendance, as well as improving the students’ ability to focus and participate in their learning.

Beyond addressing immediate nutritional needs, the programme aims to reduce school absenteeism and support students in remaining engaged in their education. By alleviating the burden of food insecurity, students will be better positioned to participate more actively in school life, contributing to their overall academic and social development.

This collaboration with Yayasan Generasi Gemilang reflects Mega Fortris Berhad’s ongoing dedication to empowering communities through strategic partnerships and purposeful initiatives, as Mega Fortris continues to aim towards building a more inclusive and sustainable future.
